eDiscovery Project Manager
Steptoe LLP, a Washington, DC-based Am Law 100 firm, is actively seeking an eDiscovery Project Manager. The eDiscovery Project Manager coordinates the technical processes and personnel required to defensibly and efficiently collect, process, review, and produce electronically stored information ("ESI") for Steptoe clients and case teams under the direction of the eDiscovery Consultants. This position may be based out of our Chicago or Houston office.
Essential Functions
  • Communicate effectively and efficiently with eDiscovery experts and novices alike
  • Translate case team eDiscovery requests into accurate technical specifications
  • Configure and administer Relativity workspaces to efficiently achieve case team review and production obligations
  • Rigorously apply and maintain appropriate security permissions for all Relativity user types
  • Multi-task effectively to manage expectations and meet deadlines in high-stress situations
  • Escalate and delegate misdirected requests to appropriate firm resource
  • Maintain organized, written documentation for each client in compliance with firm policies
  • Contemporaneously and accurately document time spent on billable and non-billable tasks
Non-Essential Functions
  • Perform other tasks as assigned in support of Case teams or eDS department
Minimum Qualifications

Required

  • Two years' litigation support / eDiscovery experience
  • Basic knowledge of eDiscovery best practices and technologies
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
Preferred
  • Hands-on Relativity administrator experience
  • Experience bulk analyzing/normalizing data using appropriate software and utilities (e.g. Excel, DOS commands, custom scripting, iConvert, SQL, Access)

  • Hybrid work arrangements may be available for this position
  • Willing to work staggered schedule as required
  • Must be available to work beyond regular hours
  • Must be able to work under tight deadlines and in stressful situations

The anticipated base salary for this position is $100,000 - $131,000 . The actual base salary offered will be dependent upon the applicant's experience and qualifications, as well as other job-related factors, including but not limited to, relevant skills, education, certifications or other professional licenses held, and if applicable, geographic location.
