JRAD is seeking candidates for an early entry Systems Engineer position supporting the Joint Project Manager for CBRN Protection (JPM CBRN P) in Stafford, Va. This is an onsite position at the JPM CBRN P office in Stafford, VA.

Roles/Responsibilities:

  • Support systems engineering activities within a program and provide input to government systems engineers. Engineering activities shall include System Requirements Review (SRR), Preliminary Design Review (PDR), Critical Design Review (CDR), Production Readiness Review (PRR), System Verification Review (SVR), Physical Configuration Audit (PCA), and Manufacturing Readiness Assessment (MRA).
  • Assist in the development and maintenance of all systems engineering documentation [e.g., Systems Engineering Plan (SEP), Requirements Traceability Matrix (RTM), Configuration Management Plan (CMP), Programmatic Environment, Safety and Occupational Health Evaluation (PESHE), Risk Management Plan (RMP), Safety Releases, Hazard Tracking Sheet (HTS), etc. in support of the program.
  • Assist with providing systems engineering input into programmatic documentation outside of the systems engineering functional area [e.g., Simplified Acquisition Management Plan (SAMP), Life Cycle Cost Estimate (LCCE), Life Cycle Management Plan (LCMP), Test and Evaluation Management Plan (TEMP), Test and Evaluation Strategy (TES), Test Plans, Test Reports, etc.].
  • May be required to receive, handle, and generate sensitive and classified information up to and including the SECRET classification level and be granted access to JPM CBRN P's on-site Secret Internet Protocol Router Network (SIPRNET) Sensitive Compartmented Information Facility (SCIF) to accomplish tasks, responding on-site within two (2) hours after notification, and remaining for the duration, as directed.

Required Skills and Education:

  • Must possess bachelor's degree in engineering (Chemical, Mechanical, Materials, or Bioengineering preferred), or other STEM related discipline.

Security Clearance:

  • Must be able to obtain and retain a DoD Secret clearance.
