Key Responsibilities:

Patient Care: Assist with patient care and assessments under the guidance of a Registered Nurse (RN) and in line with hospital policies.
Medical Procedures: Perform various tasks including IV catheter insertion, 12-lead EKGs, cardiac monitoring, splint application, and more.
Medication Administration: Administer medications and intravenous fluids as delegated by an RN, and monitor patient responses.
Documentation: Accurately document care provided and patient progress in the electronic health record (EHR).
Triage & Assessment: Conduct triage and assessments for ambulance and walk-in patients, ensuring appropriate care is provided based on severity.
Collaboration: Work closely with the RN and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient care and outcomes.
Training & Development: Complete ongoing training and competency validation, including Emergency Severity Index (ESI) triage and department protocols.
Additional Responsibilities:

Respond to patient care requests as delegated by the RN.
Recognize high-risk situations and work with the Charge RN to coordinate patient placement.
Participate in shift huddles, helping nurses with medications and patient care tasks.
Requirements:

Paramedic certification and experience.
Ability to perform within scope of practice after competency validation.
A passion for delivering compassionate, high-quality care.
