As the HR Tech Senior Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in driving the strategic direction and development of our human resources systems and tools with a focus on the SuccessFactors Employee Central and Compensation Management. You will be responsible for overseeing the configuration and optimization for the Hire to Retire lifecycle, from requirements to launch, and beyond. Your focus will be on delivering innovative solutions and to enhance the efficiency, effectiveness, and user experience of our HR systems, ultimately supporting the company's overall mission and People Team goals. This role can be based out of our Austin office or remotely in the United States.
Key Responsibilities:
- System Design and Implementation: Lead the design, configuration, and implementation of SuccessFactors solutions to meet the organization's needs, ensuring alignment with HR best practices and compliance requirements
- Integration Management: Oversee and design the integration of HRIS with other business systems, such as ADP, Netsuite, Greenhouse, and other talent management platforms. Ensure seamless data flow and interoperability between systems
- Data Management: Develop and implement data management strategies to ensure data accuracy, integrity, and security within the HRIS. Monitor data quality and troubleshoot any issues as needed
- System Security: Ensure RBP's are optimized, monitored, and scalable to secure sensitive HR data
- Reporting and Analytics: Design and generate reports, dashboards, and analytics using SF Story Reports to provide insights into HR metrics and trends. Collaborate with HR and other stakeholders to develop reporting requirements and deliver actionable insights
- Stakeholder Management: Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively build relationships with the MongoDB People team, influence/drive decision-making, and become a trusted advisor
- User Experience: Champion a user-centric approach to product development, ensuring that HR systems are intuitive, user-friendly, and meet the needs of diverse user groups
- Vendor Management: Evaluate and manage relationships with external vendors, contractors, and partners involved in the development, integration, or maintenance of HR systems
- Continuous Improvement: Continuously monitor industry trends, user feedback, conduct retros, and internal processes to identify areas for improvement and drive ongoing enhancements to HR systems
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field
- Proven track record of at least 6+ years of technical experience in implementing and optimizing SuccessFactors
- Deep domain knowledge in the following SuccessFactors modules:
- Employee Central including Core HR, timeoff, integrations, workflows/Business rules, reporting, security (RBP), global/local templates,and Position Management
- Compensation Management including merit, bonus, equity/stocks and variable pay. This includes ongoing support for critical technical support during our Compensation cycles
- Functional understanding of HR business processes in areas such as Core HR, Compensation Cycle Planning,integrations, and reporting
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex business requirements into actionable product features and technical specifications
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with diverse stakeholders and influence decision-making at all levels of the organization This includes conducting demos, POC's, and other channels to showcase system capabilities
- Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, with a proactive and results-driven mindset
- Familiarity with agile development methodologies. You will be working closely with the product and delivery teams in a POD environment
Success Measures:
- In 3 months you'll have fully ramped up on TechOps HR Tech processes, familiarized with our HR Tech stack, identified process improvements, gained a deep understanding of HRIS products, and built relationships with key partners and stakeholders
- In 6 months you'll have taken complete ownership of executing, driving, and leading delivery of technical solutions for Successfactors modules in partnership with the technical delivery teams and business stakeholders. Additionally, you will work with engineering teams to develop prototypes and MVP's aligned with a prioritized roadmap
- In 12 months you'll have taken a leadership role in the delivery of technical solutions in support of significant projects on our HR Transformation roadmap. Additionally, you will have implemented several system improvements leading to a reduction in our backlog and tech debt
- Within the span of 12 months, you will have assumed a leadership role in the delivery of technical solutions crucial to advancing pivotal projects outlined in our HR Transformation roadmap. Furthermore, you will have successfully executed various system enhancements, thereby reducing our backlog and alleviating our technological debt

MongoDB's base salary range for this role is posted below. Compensation at the time of offer is unique to each candidate and based on a variety of factors such as skill set, experience, qualifications, and work location. Salary is one part of MongoDB's total compensation and benefits package.
