The successful candidate, foriSystem Design/Architect Engineer,will be the technical lead responsible for system engineering Evolved Strategic SATCOM (ESS) task order execution in support of the highly successful Command and Control Consolidated System supporting the C-SAR program based in Colorado Springs, CO. Candidate will oversee a team responsible for requirements analysis, system design, reliability analysis, system hardware/software integration, risk management, and system documentation generation/updates. The candidate will work closely with system developers, test, and on-site user support personnel to support system updates, and ensure project objectives are met. Primary responsibilities include Task Order execution/compliance, preparation/review of reports, meeting and working group support, and contributions towards future Task Orders, ECPs and CCPs.



  • Work closely with Program leadership to ensure all System Engineering requirements are met
  • Lead/Conduct studies and capture technical analysis in support future design reviews
  • Lead/Chair Interface Control Document generation and recurring ICWGs with internal/external stakeholders
  • Chair/Host/Support all required IPTs, TIMs, WGs and Ad hoc meetings
  • Participate in CDRLs generation and deliveries based on customer prescribed schedule
  • Provide technical advice to our customers on architectures and potential solutions
  • SecDevOps processes and related Agile practices (Atlassian suite)
  • Perform the role of Product Owner
  • Requirementis decomposition and analysis
  • System design and architecture
  • Support Reliability analysis
  • System documentation generation and updates
  • Attend and supportihighly technical engineering team meetings
  • Developiand deliver effective customer presentations (support design reviews, statusireports, kickoff meetings, test plans) demonstrating an ability to communicate comfortably at a system level
  • Travel as necessary to attend conferences and customer meetings

Required Experience:

  • 10+ years engineering
  • BS in SE, CS, EE, ME, or other engineering equivalent
  • Ability to lead a team of System Engineers
  • Support programs through SRR, PDR, CDR or equivalent design reviews
  • Experience with SCN or satellite ground systems
  • Familiarity with modern IT infrastructure capabilities to include virtualization, cloud deployment and containerization (CNFs)
  • Familiarity with Cross Domain Solutions (CDS)
  • Complete knowledge of Agile methodology
  • Candidate must be self-motivated and comfortable with supporting multiple groups of developers, engineers, and testers.
  • Candidate must be able to articulate technical concepts orally and in written forms both internally to the team as well as externally to the customer and users.
  • Excellent written and oral communications skills.
  • Working knowledge of space systems, including ground systems and system development processes
  • DOORS and Cameo experience
  • Secret Security Clearance is required, must be willing to obtain a TS/SCI

Competitive salary based on experience and education
Salary Range: $145,000-$185,000
