Transfer Center Operations Manager

We are seeking a highly motivated and strategic Transfer Center Operations Manager to lead and oversee the daily operations of our Transfer Center. This role ensures seamless patient flow, optimizes operational efficiency, and aligns departmental processes with organizational goals in Finance & Operations, Quality & Safety, People, Service, and Growth. The Transfer Center Operations Manager will play a critical role in driving operational excellence, managing resources effectively, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operational Leadership: Oversee all operational functions within the Transfer Center, ensuring smooth and efficient processes that support patient transfers and referrals.
  • Strategic Planning & Execution: Collaborate with leadership to develop and implement short- and long-term operational strategies that enhance department performance and service excellence.
  • Financial & Budgetary Oversight: Manage budgeting, financial planning, and resource allocation to support department growth and sustainability.
  • Workforce Management: Lead recruitment, training, and performance management efforts to build a high-performing team while ensuring optimal staffing levels.
  • Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to enhance workflows, leverage technology, and implement best practices to drive efficiency and quality.
  • Problem-Solving & Decision-Making: Operate in a high-stakes environment, making timely and effective decisions to resolve real-time issues impacting operations.
  • Collaboration & Communication: Partner with internal and external stakeholders, including hospital leadership, clinical teams, and external partners, to enhance patient transfer processes and coordination.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred (Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, or related field).
  • Minimum of 2 years in clinical operations OR completion of an Administrative Residency/Fellowship.
  • Strong leadership experience with a track record of driving operational improvements and managing cross-functional teams.
  • Exceptional analytical, organizational, and project management skills.
  • Ability to perform in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment with strong problem-solving capabilities.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels.
