Title: Leave & Benefits Administrator
Location: Clayton, MO
Salary: $70,700 - $96,900
Schedule: Hybrid schedule available of up to 1 day remote per week
Focus: The Leave & Benefits Administrator is responsible for the operational day-to-day administration of our employee benefit and leave programs. The incumbent in this position will ensure that all plans are administered in accordance with all federal and state regulations and all plan provisions are followed.
Leave and Benefits Administrator Essential Job Functions:
- Responsible for the daily administration of all health and welfare benefit plans, including but not limited to eligibility, enrollment, changes and termination of benefits.
- Administer all health and welfare benefit plans consistent with the plans' documentation and other eligibility requirements.
- Act as an advocate/liaison to the insurance carriers or Olin benefits managers, as necessary, to resolve elevated associate issues. Resolve and track internal customer issues. Proactively identify trends and recommend solutions before additional problems occur.
- Provide support to HR team, carriers, and employees on all benefit-related issues and inquiries.
- Serve as subject matter expert for the leave and disability programs under the general direction and guidance of the department Manager.
- Act as primary liaison between third-party leave administrator, employees, supervisors and Olin medical.
- Maintain working knowledge of short and long-term disability leave programs, FMLA, and regulatory legal standards and apply concept accordingly.
- Maintain accurate employee benefit records and perform tasks to ensure the accuracy of FMLA and personal leave records are captured in Kronos and PeopleSoft.
Leave & Benefits Administrator Minimum Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's Degree* in preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of benefits administration, human resources, payroll or related experience.
- 1 year benefits administration, disability leave program and FMLA administration experience preferred.
- Prior PeopleSoft and Kronos experience preferred.
- Ability to demonstrate strong customer service skills with the ability to interact effectively with people at all levels of the organization.
- Ability to demonstrate strong analytical, organizational, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Must be a self-starter who can work with minimal supervision.
- Prior Olin experience in a relevant position preferred.
