Summary of role

This role will report to the Head of Clinical Sciences and will be responsible for the operational aspects of Lantheus development programs as new processes and infrastructure are created to support our team's success in developing medicines. In collaboration with internal functional leaders and scientific subject matter experts, the Clinical Project Manager will integrate scientific and business priorities to drive effective execution of the program deliverables. Additionally, the Clinical Project Manager will play a critical role in the resource/financial management and forecasting of individual projects on an ongoing basis and will maintain and update on all aspects of a clinical trial(s): scope of work, study deliverables, and other project and program management activities. The ideal candidate is a strong, multifaceted individual that is passionate about the empowerment of teams that has experience with negotiating contracts and ability to create templates and provide updates on key initiatives to the cross functional team.

Key Responsibilities/Essential Functions



  • Lead Clinical Project Management activities for cross-functional drug development in collaboration with translational medicine, clinical science, finance, compliance and quality.
  • Leverage enterprise project management office tools, technologies, and maintain consistent practice, project communications, dashboarding, risk and issue management.
  • Work with critical functions to create and manage integrated strategic development plans that define goals, milestones, decision points, critical path, timeline, risks, assumptions, and alternative scenarios.
  • Provide drug development and team leadership expertise, and apply program management best practices, to advance development .
  • Internally and externally communicate a shared, bold vision for the program; exemplify and build a patient-centric program.
  • Ensure functional area activities are on track and aligned with broader development strategies, timelines, and regulatory requirements. Working with cross functional teams such as Quality, Procurement, Asset Teams, Clinical Development and Clinical Operations.
  • Effectively communicate with key stakeholders on the status, objectives, risks, and mitigation plans associated with development programs.
  • Contribute to program management departmental initiatives.
  • Point of contact for integration with corporate processes
  • Drive teams to effective decision-making.
  • At the direction of senior clinical management and in-line with corporate and/or departmental goals, establish project-specific metrics and set study/program level goals and projections.
  • Write and implement clinical project plans, including timelines, budget, vendor management plans, risk management plans, etc.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.


Basic Qualifications



  • Typically requires 5-7 years industry experience including 5+ years of clinical project management experience or relevant work (scientific or healthcare fields) experience.
  • Requires a Bachelor's degree in a related medical, science or business discipline or equivalent training and formal experience. PMP certification is a plus.
  • Clinical SOP experience preferred.
  • Contracting experience is a plus.
  • This position is site-based and requires a presence on-site in Bedford, MA three days per week.

  • Ability to work within team environment and perform duties in accordance with Company SOPs.
  • Must be flexible with ability to rapidly and effectively respond to changing priorities.
  • Demonstrate computer knowledge and experience with MS Word, MS Excel, MS Project, and MS PowerPoint or similar programs.
