POSITION SUMMARY:

Full range of duties associated with the maintenance, repair and inspection of healthcare facility utility systems and equipment to ensure safe and reliable operations. Receives only occasional instruction or assistance as new or unusual situations arise and are fully aware of the operating procedures and policies within the Facilities Department. Receives general supervision from a Facilities Manager or Director. Exercises technical guidance over less experienced maintenance mechanics.

Shift: Full Time/40 Hours Per Week/Day Shift

Weekend Work Required

Location: St. Petersburg, FL

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:




  1. Independently conducts inspections, testing and maintenance on sophisticated electrical, plumbing, steam, and life safety equipment and systems to ensure reliable operation
  2. Ability to use specialized electronic meters, test equipment, hand and power tools to conduct testing and troubleshooting
  3. Assists other mechanics with inspections, testing, and maintenance on equipment and systems
  4. Completes proper documentation of service activity to ensure compliance with accrediting agencies



QUALIFICATIONS:




  • A minimum of a High School diploma, GED, Certificate of Completion or equivalent achievement.
  • Technical Trade School diploma or equivalent work experience
  • 5 years of healthcare experience or equivalent combination of training and experience
  • Ability to complete advanced equipment and system repairs and maintenance
  • Effectively communicates with leadership and team members for the purpose of solving equipment or system related problems
  • Ability to read and understand system schematics, drawings, diagrams and prints
  • Ability to pass vision screening/color-blind test


Salary Range: Minimum 20.62 per hour - Maximum 32.99 per hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility.

In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount, salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls, before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
