What we're looking for:

As a Maintenance Specialist II, you will help to maintain all aspects of building maintenance for Goodwill of North Georgia Facilities including but not limited to repairs and maintenance of physical structures and equipment.

What you'll be doing:



  • Responsible for maintaining Goodwill of North Georgia Facilities appearances by complying with company policies and procedures.
  • Comply with OSHA standards as well as city and county ordinances and codes.
  • Repair and maintain the Goodwill of North Georgia Facilities basic plumbing, electrical and physical structure in accordance with building codes.
  • Responsible for maintaining and repairing light fixtures and ballast as needed.
  • Maintain repair logs and checklists to ensure all maintenance action items are completed.
  • Perform Goodwill of North Georgia Facilities safety inspections and prepare bids on repairs as assigned and approved by the Maintenance Manager and/or Director of Maintenance.
  • Peer to Peer training engagement as needed.
  • Ensure all restrooms are operating properly.
  • Maintain the fabrication of walls, installation of doors and windows, paint selection and preparation.
  • Maintain the regulation of air quality, temperature and humidity within building interiors.
  • Other duties as assigned.



Requirements:



  • High School Diploma required
  • Two (2) years experience in facility maintenance.
  • Must have an understanding of basic electrical theory and wiring.
  • Must have excellent written and oral communication skills as well as interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to demonstrate self awareness.
  • Must be able to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends.
  • Outgoing personality, professional appearance, independent worker that completes tasks without supervision.
  • Must maintain dependable transportation and communication devices.
  • Must have and maintain a valid drivers license while maintaining a good driving record and meeting the standards of the Agency's insurance carriers.
  • Dexterity to use tools associated with the scope of basic knowledge for the position.



Working Environment Conditions/Requirements:



  • Must be able to meet all physical requirements to perform the duties of the position including the ability to bend, reach, grasp, stand and/or walk for extended periods of time
  • Ability to push, pull and lift up to 50lbs with or without accommodation.
  • Ability to tolerate environmental issues such as dust, heat, cold.
  • Agility to be able to crawl, climb, twist, bend, reach, grasp, lift, lay on hard surfaces, and work in confined spaces.
