Our Loews Hotels & Co Home Office remote teams provide support to all our properties throughout the United States and Canada. Our talented teams provide guidance over strategic planning, operations, revenue management, communications, marketing, finance, human resources, and information technology.

Were seeking a forward-thinking Director of Performance and Talent Development to join our Learning & Talent Development team. This important role will be responsible for the performance management system, including setting goals, tracking progress, providing feedback, and identifying development opportunities for employees, aligning individual performance with overall strategic objectives, and ensuring a culture of continuous improvement across all levels of the company.

What Youll Do:

Performance Management

  • Lead the development, communication, and execution of Loews performance management cycle for both hourly and salaried team members, including annual reviews, check-ins, and year-end processes.

  • Oversee communication and support for performance management programs across the organization, providing webinars and ongoing updates.

  • Design and refine performance management processes, including goal setting, feedback mechanisms, and performance reviews.

  • Facilitate the cascading of goals from organizational objectives to individual employee levels.

  • Work with leaders to ensure effective goal-setting, performance evaluations, and alignment with business objectives.

  • Regularly assess and enhance the performance management framework to meet the evolving needs of the business and its workforce.

  • Analyze/monitor performance data to inform decision-making and identify trends and areas for improvement across teams and departments.

  • Generate performance reports and dashboards to track progress and drive strategic actions.
    Present performance insights to senior leadership to support informed decision-making.

Talent Development

  • Partner with Human Resources and people leaders to enhance and build talent programs that drive career growth, employee retention, and measurable business results.

  • Roll out a variety of learning methods, including coaching, job-shadowing, online training, leadership development, and structured LMS programs.

  • Design and lead Leadership Development initiatives for entry-level and mid-level leaders by gathering data, analyzing trends, and deploying targeted solutions.

  • Collaborate to develop impactful onboarding programs that set employees up for success and enhance their long-term experience with Loews.

  • Lead personal development plans and initiatives, particularly for entry- and mid-level managers, fostering a culture of continuous growth.

  • Track the success of development programs and help employees maximize learning and career growth opportunities.

  • Assist leaders in guiding employees career progression through clear career paths and development plans across all departments.

  • Travel to hotels to facilitate training and development programs and attend management meetings as needed.

Additional Duties:

  • Perform other responsibilities as required to support the overall success of the department and company.

  • Required to attend/complete all mandatory training sessions and meetings.

  • Regular attendance in conformance with standards.

Your Experience Includes:

  • A Bachelors degree in HR management, Business Management, or similar discipline required; Masters degree preferred.

  • Hospitality experience or experience in a related field preferred.

  • 5 years of experience in talent development, leadership development, and performance management.

  • Expertise in performance management design, tracking, and reporting.

  • Proven ability to analyze talent data and extract valuable organizational insights.

  • Demonstrated success in driving organizational change initiatives.

  • Project management skills with a track record of aligning talent development with business strategy.

  • Experience with sourcing and implementing learning and talent technologies.

  • Availability and willingness to travel approximately 10-15% of the time.
