Overview

Primary responsibilities include monitoring computer systems used by EVS department. Duties involve data entry, assignment of staff, updating databases based on management reports, generating reports, and assist management with getting employee work shift started. Assist with operations and completion of tasks, daily assignments, and special requests, Is responsible for working with employees, management , and unit staff to assist them in providing service excellence and customer satisfaction. Assists with dispensing and checking in/out supplies and equipment when needed.

Responsibilities

  • 1. Monitor the Bed Management Dashboard to ensure EVS department functions are occurring according to the department operating procedures
    • 1.1 Ensures staff are entered into Bed Express zones, notifies management staff - sufficient resources are allocated for discharge cleaning
  • 2. Monitors the SRC dashboard to ensure work requests are being completed by management staff and employees.
    • 2.1 Reviews SRC database to see what work requests have not been closed or updated
  • 3. Performs other computer related assignments to produce reports for EVS department
    • 3.1 Knowledgeable how to export from various databases into excel to produce reports
  • 4. Performs customer service role in dealing with staff
    • 4.1 Acts as a customer service representative by making and receiving calls relative to service recovery
  • 5. Assists with supply control.
    • 5.1 Issues and collects beepers

Qualifications

EDUCATION

High School Diploma or GED preferred or equivalent relevant experience in lieu of educational requirements.

EXPERIENCE

Two (2) to three (3) years related experience in hospital cleaning

SPECIAL SKILLS

Working knowledge of desktop word processing, spreadsheet, and database applications is strongly preferred. Ability to multitask and work in a stressful fast paced environment. Must be task and detail orientated with exceptional interpersonal oral and written communication skills.
