Position Summary:

The University of Wisconsin-Platteville's Continuing Education department has an opportunity for a Corporate Program Manager to make a difference in Platteville and surrounding areas! This position will help develop credit and non-credit bearing programming to meet the upskilling needs of corporate partners. Serving in our Continued Education unit, this role will help link corporate partners to available learning opportunities as well as developing new programs to support workforce needs.

This is a full-time position offering excellent benefits and paid leave. Salary range for this position is $50,000 - $55,000 per year, commensurate with qualifications and experience. This position will require some travel.

Responsibilities:



  • Plan, develop, promote, deliver, and evaluate programs for business and industry, education, and other targeted constituencies from inception to delivery.
  • Review recommendations for and provide input on the design and development of new outreach programs or services.
  • Supervise the implementation of outreach-program-focused strategic planning initiatives and objectives.
  • Evaluate and establish pipelines to our existing undergraduate and graduate offerings.
  • Work with academic programs to develop training and upskilling needs based on local business demand.
  • Conduct need assessments and market research to determine educational needs and trends, and translate information into high quality, revenue-generating learning opportunities.
  • Develop and manage program budgets and monitor program expenses and revenue.
  • Recruit, hire, train, and supervise program instructors and coordinate program support.
  • Maintain programs in response to needs, establish and meet enrollment and revenue goals, and develop pathways for growth of programs.
  • Develop and implement operating policies and procedures to promote the outreach program in alignment with the strategic plan.
  • Develop pathways between non-credit and credit offerings.
  • Participate in regional, statewide and national networks to identify educational needs and opportunities for unique program development.
  • Collaborate with business and industry representatives, professional colleagues and educational agencies, campus academic and administrative units, and other partners.
  • Research and seek out alternative funding sources and opportunities to expand resources and supplement program revenue base.
  • Participate in strategic planning, market research, promotion for undergraduate, graduate and non-credit offerings.


What You'll Need to Succeed:



  • Bachelor's degree in business, project management, adult education, or related field.
  • 1 to 3 years of experience in the development and management of self-supported, revenue-generating programs.
  • Flexibility to work with a range of student and educator styles and personalities.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Strong fiscal management, organizational and administrative skills.
  • Demonstrated success in launching and maintaining collaborations and partnerships.
