BASIC FUNCTION:

The Director of Treasury Operations leads the Association's Treasury Operations function which manages the Association's debt and liquidity portfolio, as well as loan pricing operations. This position maintains and enhances a sophisticated financial modeling and analysis platform supporting the Association's funding operations, financial and economic analysis, and interest rate risk modeling and management. The Director of Treasury Operations participates in the development of Treasury-related strategies and is responsible for the execution of those strategies, ensuring alignment with the Association's risk appetite and financial objectives. This role chairs the Association's Asset Liability Committee (ALCO). The Director of Treasury Operations provides critical leadership and expertise in Interest Rate Risk, liquidity management, interest rate derivatives, and complex loan pricing requirements.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

  • Leads the management of the Association's debt portfolio, including liquidity risk management, and performance and risk reporting.
  • Participates in financial strategy development and executes strategies that align with the Association's risk appetite, ensuring the Association achieves its desired financial objectives.
  • Oversees the management of the Association's RAROC pricing tool. Works with AAC's Financial Management and Credit Management teams to incorporate operating expense and applicable risk assumptions within the Association's pricing tool.
  • Maintains and manages sophisticated modeling platforms utilized for internal transfer pricing, prepayment fee calculations and ad-hoc analysis.
  • Partners with various lending channels to analyze, structure, and price complex deals.
  • Provides input to the Association's financial strategic planning process.
  • Executes asset/liability management strategies incorporating funding, pricing, equity positioning, and interest rate derivative transactions.
  • Ensures that Association tools, systems, and methodologies reflect asset/liability management best practices and appropriately enhances management's understanding of financial risk and opportunities.
  • Partners with Business Technology teams to ensure asset/liability management data requirements are met and that data is being captured correctly.
  • Develops and maintains Treasury policies and procedures as mandated by changes within the Association, funding bank, and/or the Farm Credit Administration.
  • Serves as Chair of the Association's ALCO.
  • Develops, coordinates, and presents market/ economic, loan pricing, and other Treasury-related training within the Association.
  • Provides leadership and knowledge in the area of interest rate derivatives, including managing critical vendor relationships.
  • Provides leadership for the Association during audits, exams and consulting engagements related to Treasury and Asset/Liability Management operations.
  • Participates and serves in various Farm Credit System workgroups and develops key relationships with other ALM Associations and System institutions.
  • Leads various other financial projects as assigned.

LEVELS OF SUPERVISION EXERCISED AND RECEIVED:

May exercise direct supervision of Treasury Operations team members, including performance evaluation, hiring, and termination; makes independent decisions; works under general direction of Executive Head of Treasury & Analytics

TYPICAL KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE:

  • 12+ years of progressive experience as a Senior Finance or Treasury Professional. Significant experience with ALM systems, tools, and processes.
  • Bachelors degree with emphasis in finance, management information systems, business administration, economics or equivalent. Masters Degree and/or CFA is preferred.
  • Strong financial analysis skills with very high attention to detail and level of accuracy.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in portfolio and liquidity management, ALM modeling, interest rate risk analysis, interest rate derivatives, and financial strategy execution.
  • Proficiency in planning, organizing, and leading staff to meet objectives and deadlines.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Thorough working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:

Must have the ability to perform basic office tasks and work in a typical office setting. Employee will be sitting for extended periods of time and accomplishing work at a desk and work at a computer for an extended period of time. Must have strong written and verbal communication skills to adequately convey ideas and work well with a team. Ability to talk and hear, sit and use their hands and fingers, and reach in all directions is essential in performance of the job. Some lifting and moving of items up to 25 pounds required. Work during established business hours and may require occasional weekend and/or evening work. Travel required in performance of job.

PAY RANGE:

Minimum $118,321.53 - Max $224,810.90 Annual

This range is reflective of the national salary average for this position and will be adjusted using geographic variance for physical location of the hired candidate. American AgCredit may compensate outside of the salary range for bona fide reasons not related to membership in a protected class.

FULL-TIME REMOTE: These roles and job functions can be done remotely, while maintaining our strong commitment to customer service and our business goals. Employees are welcome to come to an office to work if needed, and some travel for team meetings will be required. #LI-REMOTE
