An exciting opportunity is available for a Senior Technical Writer to join a dynamic Knowledge Management / Technical Publications team. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating and editing technical procedures and manuals for both internal and external customers. This role involves close collaboration with engineers, core writing staff, and cross-functional teams across global regions.

Location: Fremont, CA
Duration: 12 Months
Primary Responsibilities
  • Develop and edit comprehensive technical procedures and manuals for diverse customer audiences.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams and technical writing staff to finalize procedures using Microsoft Word.
  • Ensure accuracy, completeness, and timely delivery of all technical content.
  • Create and maintain product manuals within a Content Management System (CMS).
  • Gather information from engineering sources, validate for accuracy and completeness, and incorporate it into user-friendly documentation.
  • Actively participate in content team meetings, providing updates on progress and planning for upcoming deliverables.
Job Requirements
Required Skills / Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Technical Writing, English, Communications, Journalism, or a related field.
    • (Engineering degrees are acceptable if accompanied by strong writing skills.)
  • Strong English language skills (must-have).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent editing and writing skills with a strong attention to detail.
  • Outstanding organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Preferred Skills / Qualifications:
  • Experience with DITA XML and Content Management Systems (CMS).
  • Proficiency in Adobe Acrobat, FrameMaker, Photoshop, and Illustrator.
  • Familiarity with SnagIt or equivalent screen capture tools.
  • Knowledge of Corel Draw, WebWorks, and SharePoint.
  • At least two years of writing or editing experience (preferred but not required).
