Job Summary and Responsibilities
The Compensation Manager is responsible for managing Circet USA's compensation programs and policies. This position designs, develops, communicates, implements and administers new, revised, and existing compensation programs, policies and procedures to align with the company's goals and competitive practices. This position is also responsible for ensuring that company compensation programs are consistently administered in compliance with internal policies and government regulations. Responsibilities
- Manage the development, implementation, and administration of compensation programs.
- Monitor the effectiveness of existing compensation practices and recommend changes that are cost-effective and consistent with compensation trends and corporate objectives.
- Provide advice to HR peers on pay decisions, policy interpretations, and job evaluations.
- Partner with business units to create and implement incentive compensation programs and partner with finance and payroll to execute payment, ensuring accurate, fair, and timely payments.
- Create and maintain companywide pay grades that include geographical variances and align with company objectives.
- Research market trends to evaluate the competitiveness of salaries and bring strategic solutions to the table.
- Align compensation programs with recruitment strategies to attract quality candidates.
- Design creative solutions to specific compensation-related programs and incentive plans.
- Develop techniques for compiling, preparing and presenting data.
- Research and recommend potential participation in salary surveys and monitors salary survey data to ensure corporate compensation objectives are achieved.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state and local compensation laws and regulations.
- Research, understand, and provide guidance on prevailing wage requirements from onset and partnership during pricing/bidding through reporting required information as the project progresses.
- Coordinate and lead a compensation committee made up of leadership representatives
Qualifications
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Knowledge of all federal, state and local regulations and compliance requirements related to employee compensation.
- Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret and communicate data.
- An above average level of financial acumen as it applies to designing compensation programs.
- Computer proficiency and technical aptitude with the ability to use Microsoft products, including Excel.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent time management skills and ability to plan and set priorities.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills in dealing with senior management.
- Strong understanding of compensation and total reward philosophies.
- Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in business, human resources or related field and eight years of progressively responsible experience in employee compensation with a proven track record of creating, not just maintaining compensation programs
- At least one year of experience managing subordinates.
- Experience in the telecommunications or construction industry is strongly preferred.
- Knowledge of laws and regulations as they apply to base compensation and incentive compensation programs, company policies, and operations.
- Experience with prevailing wage requirements and reporting is strongly desired.
- Must be able to demonstrate playing a significant role in the design and development of pay grades and at least 4 compensation plans. A significant plus if individual can demonstrate the designing of a sales incentive plan, annual bonus and a monthly incentive plan.
