ABOUT THE ROLE

The Administrative Training Specialist will provide administrative services by developing and implementing administrative systems, procedures and policies through Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). The Specialist will facilitate and manage training sessions to support the company SOPs for the C&I Administrative Services organization. Travel will be necessary to conduct the duties of this job.

Sturgeon Electric's Commercial and Industrial (C&I) electrical construction division specializes in large-scale commercial electrical projects, telecommunications, traffic signalization, gas distribution, high voltage distribution service and maintenance to clients. Sturgeon Electric has experience performing projects under Integrated Lean Project Delivery methods, and also offers pre-construction services, in-house pre-fabrication capabilities, and Building Information Modeling (BIM) capabilities.

Essential Functions

  • Administrative SOP (Standard Operating Procedures) Development and Documentation
    • Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures for the C&I Administrative Services Organization
    • Ensure clarity and accuracy in written instructions
  • Training Curriculum Design
    • Design training programs based on new and existing SOP's, including theoretical knowledge, practical demonstrations, and hands-on exercises to effectively onboard new employees and upskill existing staff
  • Training Delivery
    • Facilitate training sessions, both in-person and online, to deliver SOP information to employees at all levels of the administration team, addressing questions and concerns
  • Collaboration
    • Work closely with department managers and subject matter experts to align training initiatives with organizational goals
  • Needs Analysis
    • Conduct assessments to identify training gaps and determine employee development needs across different departments
  • Regular and predictable attendance
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Essential functions of this position are to be performed at a Company-designated office or field location
  • Understand and comply with the Company's Code of Business Conduct and Ethics Policy

ABOUT YOU

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years of experience creating and delivering training content, guides, multi-media training materials through various methods
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in an administrative or training-focused role

Preferred Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Instructional Design, Education, Communications, Business or similar field preferred; combination of relevant education & experience considered in lieu of degree
  • High school diploma or GED

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills to effectively deliver training sessions
  • Strong writing and editing abilities to develop clear and concise SOP documentation
  • Detail-oriented approach to ensure accuracy and consistency in SOP's and training materials
  • Proficiency with MS Office Suite applications, including advanced Excel skills
  • Ability to communicate with all levels of employees within the organization
  • Excellent problem-solving skills

Compensation & Benefits

  • Salary $55,344-$83,016 / year
    • Commensurate with experience, paid weekly. Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. MYR Group reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the qualifications of the selected candidate.
