Title of Position: Culture & Inclusion Specialist II - NY, NJ or PA

Position Type: Full-Time. Typical shifts include Monday through Friday 8:00AM to 5:00PM

Compensation Range: $23/Hr - $30/Hr. *Hiring rates may be dependent on a number of factors, including years of directly related work experience, education, geographic location or special skills*

Location: Hybrid opportunity available for residents from NY, NJ, or PA ONLY. Typical hybrid schedule is 3 days in office, 2 days work from home. May occasionally need to be in the office more than 3 days per week due to events. Position will also occasionally require travel to events.

Responsibilities/Duties:



  • Provides support to the Culture & Inclusion Officer across the DEIB strategy, major projects, and with the management of committees and councils.
  • Regularly communicates on the progress of internal and external company-led diversity initiatives.
  • Researches, develops, recommends, and executes organizational creative strategies to foster the organization's diversity goals.
  • Maintains knowledge of diversity-related issues, legislation, and best practices. Network and build relationships with professional and educational organizations and underrepresented groups.
  • Oversee and update all internal DEIB and Employee Engagement page.
  • Responsible for the oversight of the DEIB committee.
  • Assist with the creating, updating and facilitation of internal and external DEIB workshops/courses/ presentations.
  • Organize DEIB meetings, workshops, clubs, and events to increase employee engagement and cultural competency.
  • Work in collaboration with marketing/communication team to support and develop employee engagement content related to DEIB.
  • Represent the organization at various community events.
  • Create, support, and encourage employee resource groups (ERGs).
  • Interview, survey, and meet with employees to make recommendations around organizational culture and inclusion.
  • Responsible for culture and inclusion new hire orientation sessions.
  • Collects and analyzes statistical data to evaluate the company's population in accordance with diversity standards and goals.
  • Regularly monitor and report on DEIB objectives and projects, celebrating success, identifying key opportunities for improvement, and amplifying key messages.
  • Adaptable to changes in the work environment, comfortable with multiple competing demands and able to deal with frequent change, delays, or unexpected events in a calm and logical manner.
  • Comfortable communicating with employees at all levels throughout the organization whether it be via email and phone or in-person.
  • Provides mentorship and guidance to interns and other team members.
  • Provides departmental back-up coverage as needed.
  • Respond effectively to changing ideas, responsibilities, expectations, trends, strategies, and other processes.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging through continuous development, modeling inclusive behaviors, and proactively managing bias.
  • Perform other duties needed to help fulfil our mission, drive our strategy, and support our organization's values.


Minimum Qualifications & Experience:



  • An associate degree in human resources, business, organizational development, social science, or related field expected.
  • DEI Certificate or Certification.
  • Knowledge and experience in Human Resources and/or DEI.
  • Ability to compose reports, correspondence, proposals, and other business documents for dissemination to internal staff and/or to outside contacts.
  • Two (2) years' relevant experience.
  • Proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite programs.
  • Proficient with standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines, PCs, etc.
  • Visions remains committed to the aspects of diversity and inclusion and will consider alternative education and experience.


Preferred Qualifications & Experience:



  • Bachelor's degree in human resources, business, organizational development, social justice, or related field.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel preferred, to design, create, and maintain complex spreadsheets.
