Role Responsibilities
As the Director, Fraud Prevention and Risk Strategy, you will:



  • Leverage Technology: Implement cutting-edge AI and machine learning models to analyze real-time transaction data, detect anomalies, and flag suspicious activity.
  • Enhance Risk Prevention: Develop risk-based fraud prevention strategies, including segmentation by risk profiles, adaptive authentication processes, and predictive analytics to proactively mitigate risks.
  • Drive Data-Driven Decisions: Continuously train fraud detection models with the latest data trends, ensuring high accuracy and scalability while minimizing false positives.
  • Collaborate Across Functions: Partner with compliance, legal, and customer service teams to ensure fraud prevention strategies align with regulatory standards and incorporate real-time feedback.
  • Achieve Key Metrics: Deliver measurable outcomes such as reducing fraud losses, improving false positive rates, and enhancing customer satisfaction and trust.
  • Promote Governance: Lead cross-functional governance initiatives, ensuring fraud prevention practices are cohesive, compliant, and effectively communicated.


Role Requirements



  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Business Administration, or related fields (Master's preferred).
  • 10+ years of experience in fraud prevention, risk management, or related areas, with a proven ability to lead large-scale fraud prevention programs.
  • 5+ years leading team with people managers.
  • Expertise in advanced fraud detection technologies, including AI, machine learning, behavioral analytics, and multi-layered authentication methods.
  • Proven success in developing and implementing risk-based fraud prevention strategies using segmentation and predictive analytics.
  • Strong leadership and collaboration skills, with experience working cross-functionally with compliance, legal, technology and operational teams.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to translate complex data into actionable strategies.
  • Familiarity with global regulatory requirements and best practices for fraud prevention in financial services or payments industries.
  • Strong focus on customer experience, balancing fraud prevention with seamless transactions to maintain trust and satisfaction.

Salary

The base salary range is $170,000 - $200,000 USD per year, total on target compensation includes a base salary plus long-term and short-term incentives that align with individual and company performance.
