Description

The Maryland Department of Transportation Motor Vehicle Administration (MDOT MVA) is seeking a dynamic progressive leader focused on delivering premier customer service with innovative ideas and solutions for the Office of Driver Wellness and Safety.

This MVA Section Manager manages a major section, in the Driver Wellness and Safety Division. This section consists of two units Admin Per Se and Ignition Interlock. The position is responsible for managing, assigning, overseeing, training, and mentoring the two supervisors and employees within these units.


Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

Education: Possession of a bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university.

Experience: Three (3) years of experience involving planning and administration of programs in a large public or private agency, two (2) years of which shall have been in a supervisory capacity.

Notes:

1. Additional experience involving the supervision of customer service-related activities or the administration and supervision of operational program units within a Motor Vehicle Department may be substituted on a year-for-year basis for up to four years of the required education.

2. Additional graduate education at an accredited college or university may be substituted at the rate of thirty credit hours for each year of the required experience for up to two years.


Licenses & Certifications

Employees in this classification may be assigned duties which require the operation of a motor vehicle. Employees assigned such duties will be required to possess a motor vehicle operator's License valid in the state of Maryland. Must complete Driver Improvement Program (DIP) training.
