Why do we need you ?

The Fleet Operations Lead is responsible for the daily transactional duties of the Materials Handling Equipment (MHE), Heavy Duty Equipment (HDE), and the Auto Fleet Programs reporting to the CAPEX Operations Manager. The Lead will be responsible for:



  • Process bids and requests for quotes, approximately 80 per year, through our eProcurement Tools.
  • Correspond with business unit stakeholders and all suppliers to assure timely submission of data and quotes to correspond to project timelines.
  • Analyze bids to ensure compliance with specifications and objectives; follow-up with sites and suppliers if changes are required; make recommendations for manufacturers and models.
  • Work with the suppliers when there is a deviation from negotiated pricing.
  • Write and submit Capex+ submissions for the CT BUs including lease vs Buy and LOJs
  • Oversee fleet management database for accuracy and completeness of data.
  • Produce monthly/quarterly KPI reporting to business units. The Lead will serve as the first point of contact for business stakeholders and fleet management companies.

The Fleet Operations Lead role requires a high level of process and analytical thinking, and communication skills. Also necessary is technical expertise and knowledge of the equipment and auto industries, equipment specifications and maintenance in order to present the data to stakeholders along with recommendations. Excellent customer service skills to support the business units. Ability to tailor actions to align with the overall objectives of the businesses and adherence to purchasing professionalism. Problem solving skills and quick thinking required for decision making.



  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Business, Supply Chain or relevant experience in the required field
  • Master's Degree is preferred
  • 1-3 Years of experience in Fleet Management is required
  • 1-3 Years of experience in Purchasing is required
  • 1-3 Years of experience in Data Analysis is required
  • Data analysis; organization of data and KPIs to drive decisions. Good grasp of the equipment specifications and applications in order to make recommendations to sites/plant managers, etc.
  • Strong Communication Skills, oral and written. Needs to be able to speak with expertise and influence
  • Excellent Customer Service Skills
