Summary:

The Inventory Manager is responsible for overseeing the inventory processes and team. This role will be responsible for managing inventory levels but will also create broader strategies and processes for improving efficiency and accuracy.

Essential functions (responsibilities, tasks, supervisory needs)

  • Oversees the inventory control team, including replenishment order clearing, inventory transfer activity, aged inventory reduction, and inventory turns for international and domestic business units.

  • Develops inventory strategies to design and implement inventory control process to safeguard against inventory shrink and overall accuracy of the facility

  • Provides guidance to the business on best practices in managing inventory reconciliation process

  • Responsible for supporting FSQA inventory movements, including traceability process; mock recall etc.

  • Builds and maintains partnerships with various departments to align inventory system controls with business objectives

  • Leads efforts to prioritize push inventory and avoid aging/obsolescence

  • Supports EDI implementation including system design, configuration, and testing. Supports design and management of SLOC/Stock configuration in collaboration with business units.

  • Establishes and maintains appropriate KPIs necessary for the finance reconciliation process

  • Develops and maintains a training program; provides guidance, coaching, and feedback to inventory analysts and delivers opportunities for career growth and development

  • Manages a team of employees, including hiring, leading, and developing team members. Removes roadblocks, pushes communications, encourages, and assesses performance. Embraces problem-solving as a learning experience.

This is a salaried exempt position with an annualized salary range of $95k to $125k.

Minimum Requirements

Required Qualifications (education, years of experience, KSAs)

  • A minimum of five years of related experience, with a minimum of two years of experience managing teams.

  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, Business, or related field; or equivalent combinations of education and years of experience

  • Previous people management experience

  • Manufacturing industry experience

Preferred education and experience

  • Experience with EDI implementation

  • Experience in the seafood industry

Work environment (includes travel/on-call):

In-office time takes place in a typical office environment: temperature controlled with adequate lighting and moderate noise. While remote, employees must provide appropriate home office space.

Physical demands:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms.
