Job Purpose Quality Team Manager is responsible for leading/directing the quality engineers and line quality associates to investigate, report, check, and contain quality related problems coming from Paint/Plastics department. Key Accountabilities
- Develop training plans for Quality Team (Engineers and Line Quality [LQ's]) and ensure all training plans or on the job training checklist are up to date (associates are trained quickly, accurately).
- Support quality associates with daily activities as needed
- Manage quality business plan theme team (i.e. provide direction to theme team, lead meetings when applicable, conduct Genba activity with theme members, develop monthly business plan report, etc.)
- Develop and manage quality teams budget (i.e. develop next Ki's budget, enter Purchase Orders and requisition sheets, provide updates at budget events, track expenses, etc.)
- Support/provide direction on AH Yard Audit and CBU evaluation w/ management
- Full fill IE responsibilities (attend and report at daily Hinjuku, support NA Q activity, attend weekly Hinjuku meeting, etc.)
- Address performance, attendance, internal conflicts, and other concerns within the quality group and take the necessary corrective action
- Develop and present daily quality report and provide quality data for scorecards. Also, direct quality engineers and LQ's on what should be included in monthly and daily turnover reports.
- Lead and support quality investigations, deep data dives, and C/M derivations for complex quality issues.
- Lead, manage, and provide support to engineers for quality related projects (i.e. ensure good usage of SAP's, provide direction to team members, set priorities for team members, etc.)
- Lead effective meetings with direct/indirect associates to communicate important information to team, stay updated on projects, and provide direction to associates.
- Ensure good change point management within quality team
- Develop and implement plans for New Model T-Stage activity to ensure mass production readiness.
Qualifications, Experience and Skills
- Associates or bachelor's degree (Engineering, Business Administration) or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of 2+ years experience with problem/data analysis, engineering, or other engineering/business environment based on education
Workstyle
- Must be willing to work overtime (5+ hours/week) - Dependent on current condition and new model timing
- Able to travel domestically
- Flexible work hours - willing to work different shifts, shutdowns, and weekend production/project activity
- Open office environment
