Sales Representative - Industrial Adhesives (Remote - Mid-West, East Coast, Gulf Coast)

Huntsman is seeking a Sales Representative - Industrial Adhesives supporting the Advanced Materials Division. This position will report to the Sales Manager - Industrial.

Job Scope

The Sales Representative will be responsible for driving sales growth, managing client relationships, and promoting our advanced coating solutions across various industries. This role requires a combination of sales acumen, excellent interpersonal skills, and technical knowledge.

In summary, as the Sales Representative - Industrial Adhesives, you will:

  • Be accountable to achieving revenue and margin targets for assigned Industrial Sector territory.
  • Identify and target new business opportunities within the Industrial Sector.
  • Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve revenue targets and expand market share.
  • Build and maintain strong long-term relationships with existing and potential clients. Network beyond standard procurement relationships.
  • Understand clients' needs and provide tailored solutions to meet their specific requirements.
  • Promote Huntsman Advanced Material adhesives and related products.
  • Highlight the benefits and competitive advantages of our fully formulated adhesives and adhesive component solutions.
  • Partner with Huntsman Technical & Innovation Subject Matter Experts to achieve new product innovation growth targets through technical discussions and presentations.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and industry developments to identify opportunities and threats.
  • Provide feedback to the marketing and product development teams to help shape future product offerings and strategies.
  • Work with manufacturing sites and marketing to understand line capacities and associated product lines to focus on for growth.
  • Prepare and deliver accurate sales forecasts and reports.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, including technical support and customer service, to ensure seamless client interactions and satisfaction.
  • Address and resolve any issues or concerns clients may have regarding our products or services.

Qualifications

You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.

The candidate must have an unrestricted right to work for Huntsman in the United States.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related field. Advanced degree or relevant certifications are a plus.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in sales, preferably within the general adhesives industry.
  • Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving business growth.
  • Strong technical knowledge of Power and their applications.
  • Excellent business acumen, communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple accounts effectively.
  • A willingness to travel extensively within the Americas as needed, up to 40 - 70%
