Overview
BigBear.ai is seeking a Ansible Engineer to support the development of Government test and evaluation documentation (e.g., Test & Evaluation Strategy, Test and Evaluation Master Plan, Event Test Plans, Test Readiness Assessments, and T&E Reports). The candidate will work with other test organizations to support T&E program integration, provide specialized T&E capabilities tailored to system functions, level, maturity, and performance area as assigned in the SOW.

What you need to have
- Bachelor's Degree and six (6) years' experience in computer science, information systems, or network engineering OR minimum ten (10) years' experience in computer science, information systems, or network engineering
- Clearance:Active TS/SCI with a Poly
- Minimum eight (8) years' experience programming with object-oriented programming languages
- Minimum five (5) years' experience developing Windows applications using Visual Studio or .NET environments OR minimum five (5) years' experience developing UNIX applications using make files or comparable build environments
- Minimum three (3) years leading projects that develops complex software, ensuring a collaborative environment, and configuration management
What we'd like you to have
Strong hands-on experience in writing, optimizing, and troubleshooting Ansible playbooks and roles Familiarity with infrastructure automation concepts and best practices Proficiency in Python, Bash, or other scripting languages used in automation Knowledge of hardened automation techniques (e.g., vaulting secrets, RBAC, encrypted communications) and automating access controls/key management Experience with Zero Trust Architectures and policy-based network segmentation Deep understanding of Linux (RHEL, CentOS, Ubuntu) and system configuration Experience with project management best practices such as Scrum and Kanban methodologies Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) along with understanding of basic configuration management principles Relevant certification like Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE)
