Intern - Year Round (Control Specialist)

Overview

An intern selected for this position will enhance their HVAC control skills, including their knowledge of facility automation. As well as providing support in focused areas, the intern will gain valuable insight into Navy Federal's business, technology, resources, and procedures. The intern will work directly with mechanical and electrical equipment and assist the technicians with updating our maintenance processes and safety manuals (according to NFPA requirements) in order to reflect the current regulations.

Responsibilities

* Assist the Controls Specialists in troubleshooting technical issues
* Support the EMCS department; may work on small projects as well as portions of larger projects
* Contribute to the accomplishment of tasks/assignments by assisting or collaborating with different
levels of staff
* Make internal customer service a priority in all interactions, maintaining professionalism at all times
* Providing comprehensive day-to-day support for the organization
* Possess the ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
* Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

* Effective computer skills
* Excellent organizational and time management skills needed
* Ability to exercise initiative and sound judgment to meet deadlines
* Ability to effectively communicate verbally, in writing, and in person
* Independent ability to handle assigned projects
* Possess a working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
* Capacity to adapt to new technologies
