Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and results-oriented NPD Manager Specialist to join our team. This role is responsible for both the technical execution of the product and implanting tools to ensure product performance, safety and launch timing can be met. This includes managing the product throughout the product lifecycle, gathering and prioritizing product and customer requirements, defining the product vision, and working closely with engineering to deliver winning products. It also includes working with sales, marketing and support to ensure revenue and customer satisfaction goals are met. Primary Duties & Responsibilities
- Develop and execute product roadmaps that align with regional sales and profit targets, ensuring efficient positioning and utilization across all market segments.
- Lead and track the execution of NPD process documentation. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive accountability and meet key milestones.
- Collaborate with regional marketing teams to conduct regular market research and stay informed on consumer trends, new products, and packaging innovations.
- Work with sourcing teams to select and develop suppliers, ensuring that product requirements are met in a timely and cost-effective manner.
- Execute cost analysis for assigned products and identify opportunities for cost improvement initiatives.
- Coordinate efforts with the PEC, Corporate Quality, R&D, and other teams to facilitate new product testing, qualification, and overall product performance.
- Monitor product group performance and customer satisfaction, proactively identifying issues and recommending actions to minimize risks or losses.
- Participate in the analysis of product category trends, competitor products, and consumer attitudes. Recommend actions to capitalize on profit opportunities or address problem areas.
- Collaborate with regional marketing and legal teams to develop and execute product claims testing, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
- Work with the legal team to ensure that new products have the necessary IP clearance and, when appropriate, generate invention disclosures.
- Partner with regional quality and vendor engineering teams to troubleshoot and resolve consumer quality issues, driving corrective actions as needed.
- Identify and implement programs based on consumer insight and trend data in collaboration with internal departments.
- Understand the implications of recommendations and develop contingencies or alternative actions as necessary.
- Participate in international travel as needed for global product strategy and market development.
Education and Experience Profile
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar required
- 5+ years experience in consumer products product development and management
- Graduate degree with business acumen highly preferred
- Proven experience in new product innovation methods, business case analysis, product definition & tradeoffs, design verification and manufacturing validation, new product introduction approaches and product life-cycle management.
Required Skills
- Familiarity with SolidWorks (product CAD design review) -
- Strong knowledge of product development systems and tools.-

Work Environment
Working conditions are normal for a hybrid office environment. Travel may be required.
