POSITION SUMMARY

Lighthouse Credit Union is at a pivotal stage of growth as we refine how we serve our members and broaden our reach. The Director, Everyday Banking Portfolio Strategy will guide both near- and long-term decisions across our deposit, checking, savings, and credit card offerings, ensuring that every plan is grounded in analytical rigor and real-world feasibility. This role combines strategic vision with hands-on execution, translating member insights and market data into clear, actionable roadmaps for the Everyday Banking portfolio. Reporting to the SVP of Strategy, the Director collaborates with Finance, Product, Marketing, IT, Operations, and other teams to develop data-driven business cases, manage OKRs, lead cross-functional workstreams, and facilitate QBR sessions. By turning insights into practical, forward-looking strategies, this leader will help Lighthouse remain competitive, meet evolving member needs, and nurture sustainable growth in everyday banking.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES

* Strategic Roadmap & Vision: Develops and implements a comprehensive strategy for Everyday Banking-covering deposits, checking, savings, and credit card offerings-to meet growth, profitability, and member experience objectives.

* Profitability & P&L Insight: Analyzes financial statements, forecasts revenue and expense trends, and articulates P&L impact from performance drivers. Coordinates with Finance to track KPIs and ensure accountability for financial outcomes.

* Granular Optimization & Analytics: Leads detailed analyses on portfolio performance, member segmentation, and market trends. Identifies and executes optimization strategies that maximize returns and strengthen competitive positioning.

* Business Case & Thought Leadership: Conducts market research, builds cost-benefit analyses, and develops robust business cases for new products, partnerships, or service enhancements. Presents recommendations to senior leadership, offering outside-in perspectives that challenge internal thinking.

* Cross-Functional Project Management: Drives end-to-end project execution for growth initiatives-from building consensus among cross-functional stakeholders to implementation and monitoring progress. Serves as a key point of contact for senior leaders and functional teams.

* OKRs & QBR Facilitation: Establishes and manages Objectives & Key Results (OKRs) for Everyday Banking. Leads QBRs to maintain transparency, ensures resource alignment, and tracks progress against key targets.

* Market Expansion & Partnership Development: Identifies white spaces and new growth areas by analyzing market conditions and competitive landscapes.

* Stakeholder Engagement & Communication: Builds trusted relationships and gain buy-in from executives, peers, and frontline leaders. Synthesizes complex analyses into concise communications that highlight strategic insights, recommendations, and resource needs.

* Team Cultivation & Leadership: Cultivates and manages a high-performing team, fostering collaboration, analytical rigor, and entrepreneurial leadership. Promotes a culture of continuous learning and professional growth.

* Strategic Execution & Accountability: Tracks execution of strategic initiatives and key performance indicators, rapidly surfacing potential risks or resource gaps. Implements corrective actions to keep projects on track and maximize impact.

* Regulatory & Risk Alignment: Collaborates with Risk, Legal, and Compliance to ensure all strategies and initiatives meet regulatory standards and internal risk policies.

EDUCATION, TRAINING & EXPERIENCE

* Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.

* 7+ years of progressive experience in corporate strategy, management consulting, financial services, or related roles, ideally with exposure to everyday banking products.

* Demonstrated ability to develop and execute strategic plans, including complex business cases, market analyses, and financial forecasts.

* Proven track record of effectively leading cross-functional projects from ideation to implementation.

* Strong command of analytics tools and methodologies, with advanced MS Excel and PowerPoint skills; experience with data visualization platforms is a plus.

* Excellent communication and influencing skills, with experience interacting at executive and Board levels.

* Knowledge of regulatory and compliance considerations specific to financial services preferred.

* Experience leading or mentoring teams, with a demonstrated ability to build, develop, and inspire talent.

WORK ARRANGEMENT:

The working arrangement for this position is hybrid. Hybrid work is an opportunity to find the right balance between working in the office and remotely, especially if it supports individual success and the needs of our organization. Hybrid schedules are determined by the hiring manager based on business unit needs and may vary by department.
