Michelin North America, Inc. is seeking a meticulous Business Insights Analyst to ensure the accuracy of all incoming and outgoing data for Michelin Fleet customers. In this role, you will audit processes to effectively manage Michelin's assets and profitability, while holding teams accountable for maintaining data precision. You will extract actionable insights to support data-driven decisions, enhancing operational efficiency and contributing to strategic decision-making through comprehensive data analysis and trend evaluation.

The Business Insights Analyst will be primarily responsible for managing a range of fleet accounts with varying levels of complexity. Their role involves working closely with field personnel to ensure the accuracy of the data received. They interpret this data, conduct thorough analyses, and review the results to provide insightful trend analysis and projections. Based on their findings, they recommend actions and improvements to enhance work methods, control costs, increase profitability, and ensure compliance with internal controls while maintaining high customer satisfaction. Additionally, they are tasked with reviewing dealer invoicing, rejecting them when vital and handling system corrections. Building and maintaining positive relationships with business partners is also crucial, as they need to understand their difficulties and collaborate effectively to address them.

What You Will Do:

Data Analysis & Insight Generation:

  • Analyze complex datasets, identify key trends, and provide actionable recommendations to drive informed decision-making.

  • Offer relevant trend analysis and forecasts to guide strategic decisions and inform partners of future possibilities.

  • Gather, select, and validate data that is critical for analysis, ensuring its relevance and accuracy for decision-making.

  • Identify or acquire necessary data to meet sophisticated or cross-functional business needs and define levers for value creation and improvement.

Communication & Reporting:

  • Present data findings clearly and compellingly through charts, graphs, and dashboards.

  • Clearly communicate ideas, findings, and recommendations to contributors at all levels, ensuring understanding and engagement.

  • Translate complex data insights into actionable recommendations for non-technical customers, including crafting comprehensive reports and presentations.

  • The ability to weave data into a compelling narrative that drives business decisions.

  • Mastery of presentation tools and the ability to present data visually and verbally are key.

  • Forming relationships with team members and partners is essential for collaborative projects.

Data Accuracy & Management:

  • Ensure the accuracy and consistency of all collected data before it is entered into the information system, safeguarding data integrity.

  • Review customer submissions, make necessary rejections when appropriate, and manage system corrections to address and resolve data discrepancies.

Adaptability & Problem-Solving:

  • Adjust strategies and processes in response to evolving conditions and requirements to consistently achieve expected results.

  • Identify and resolve recurring issues by collaborating with internal partners to develop and implement effective solutions.

Team Collaboration:

  • Working together toward a common goal through open communication, clear roles, and mutual support. Constructive conflict resolution, and shared objectives, fostering an environment of trust and adaptability.

  • Actively contribute to team initiatives, fostering a collaborative environment that supports collective success and goal achievement.

  • Critical thinking skills to assess its validity and relevance, identifying biases, and recognizing limitations in the analysis.

  • Use analytical reasoning to approach problems and make decisions based on data.

Financial Competence:

  • Assess financial reports to understand the implications of business decisions, ensuring alignment with financial goals and constraints.

  • Maintain traceability of financial transactions to align with audit requirements and uphold financial integrity.

  • Demonstrate a basic understanding of finance terms, retail metrics, and digital analytics to evaluate business opportunities effectively.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Business, Business Administration, or a related field, or 5-7 years of experience in data analysis, financial analysis, and reporting.
