Advanced Color Production Print Specialist (Production Print Specialist)

Konica Minolta currently has an exciting opportunity for a Advanced Color Production Print Specialist (Production Print Specialist) in their Escalation Systems Support Group (ESS). This position is located in KM's Corporate Headquarters in Ramsey, NJ.

The Advanced Color Production Print Specialist Team Specialists are subject matter experts supporting both direct accounts and authorized Konica Minolta dealers. The Specialist will offer engine training and support along with providing in-person and virtual Production Print Best Practices Seminars and Workshops and top level print controller integration across all Konica Minolta Sales & Service channels. All specialists will be key contributors to the satisfaction of both internal and external customers and will focus on optimizing Sales and Service profitability, as well as fostering improved product knowledge for End-Users/Customers and the Dealer/Direct teams.

The Advanced Color Production Print Specialist Specialist will work to maximize product uptime, provide technically in-depth presentations to enhance field knowledge, and improve practical support skills for Service teams for the C12000/C14000 (Cypress) and C7100 (Maple) product series initially. The Specialist will also incorporate new, similar high-end PP products under these same support procedures to ensure ongoing best-in-class support for users and customers in all channels.

* The Specialist will be tasked with doing a comprehensive (complete) product technical review when visiting any account.

* All customer account visits will be done in a holistic approach to address all current concerns and to mitigate the potential for future issues with the product.

* The Specialist will preview each visit with the team prior to any on-site service visits to ensure that all aspects of service are covered during the service event.

* Production Print (PP) SME Team members will conduct a weekly review of all Cypress/Maple related tickets to brainstorm cause-effect and resolution options as well as to identify follow-up tasks or action items for that account or region.

* The Specialist will attend the weekly Mod Notice meeting to give direction on actions to be taken with the latest KMI releases and to ensure that their own level of understanding for all technical developments with the product remains current.

* Quarterly Cypress workshops will be conducted by the Specialist.

* The Production Print (PP) SME Team will work with KM Sales/Marketing to establish proper Key-Op and Customer training areas to ensure they are knowledgeable and confident on how to use the product and onsite peripherals for optimized output at the account

* The Team will provide content for and deliver monthly technical updates for the Konica Minolta Dealer Council (members of whom represent the top revenue producing dealers for KM).

o The recordings of these seminars will be posted to mykonicaminolta.com and made available to all Dealer/Direct technicians.

* The Specialist will present to the Dealer Service Council in-person twice a year to keep members current on all issues, hear concerns first-hand, and to build trusting professional relationships with our Dealer Partners.

* Bachelors Degree in either Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or equivalent work experience

* 10+ years of experience in the printing or value added solutions industry

* G7 Certification

* PostScript and JDF page description knowledge highly desired

* N+ Certification desired

* Technical mastery of Production Print products, peripherals, accessories, controllers, related Firmware

* Knowledge of JDF a plus

* Graphics arts expertise

* Experience with or certification on ColorCare and G7 is required

* Experience with EFI and Creo print controllers is required

* Previous experience in or supporting production print environments is required

* Excellent written and verbal skills are a must to communicate effectively and directly with end users, authorized technical contacts and the research and development team.

* Must demonstrate via certificates or equivalent work experience strong mechanical and electronics aptitude

* The ability to handle multiple high profile projects professionally is a must

* Proficiency with Microsoft Office including PowerPoint is necessary

* Proficiency with Adobe suite, Photoshop, Acrobat, Illustrator and InDesign is strongly desired
