Inside the Role

The Mechanical Engineer will oversee the cross-functional development of product fixtures, tooling, and machines for production processes, including both conventional powertrain and e-mobility components, as well as remanufactured parts. This role requires close collaboration with engineering teams, vendors, staff, and management to ensure the successful execution of projects from concept through to implementation and the launch of remanufactured components.

Position offers a starting salary range of$82,000.00 - $104,500.00 USD

Pay offered dependent on knowledge, skills, andexperience

What You Drive at DTNA

  • Develop product fixtures, tooling, and machines for production and recovery processes.

  • Design and develop mechanical systems and components.

  • Conduct research and analysis to meet project requirements.

  • Create detailed engineering drawings and specifications.

  • Perform simulations and testing to validate designs.

  • Confer with vendors, staff, and management regarding purchases, procedures, product specifications, manufacturing capabilities, and project status.

  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.

  • Conduct technology assessments and analysis of alternatives.

Knowledge You Should Bring

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering and 0-2 years or relevant experience required.

  • Proficiency in the use of MS office and CAD systems. (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks)

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.

  • Strategic thinker with proven problem-solving skills.

  • Hands-on product development experience.

  • Experience with project management, teamwork, interpersonal, and relationship management skills.

  • Adaptability and willingness to learn new techniques and skills.

  • Open to minimal travel.

  • Requires understanding of key business drivers.

  • Works independently within guidelines and policies to solve problems of moderate complexity.

  • May lead projects or processes as required

Exceptional Candidates Might Have

  • 2-4 years of relevant experience.

  • Experience with robotic technologies.

  • Experience in welding technologies.
