Overview

Responsibilities
As a Network Engineer you will have the opportunity to do the following:

    Coordinate with network administrators and stakeholders to manage changes, whether implementing new networks or upgrading existing ones.
  • Play a crucial role in planning, coordinating, and executing security measures to protect both new and legacy networks.
  • Engage in network modeling, analysis, and strategic planning, you'll help us stay ahead in the rapidly evolving tech landscape.
  • Work closely with architecture teams to evaluate and recommend cutting-edge network technologies. Support network administrators in resolving complex troubleshooting issues and may oversee vendor engagements to aid in these efforts.
  • Handle operational or administrative duties for networks in both lab and production environments.
  • Exhibit higher levels of independent thought and handle more complex tasks than Level II engineers, with the potential to supervise others.
  • Bring your strategic vision and proactive problem-solving skills to a dynamic and forward-thinking team.


Qualifications
  • Minimum Education: Bachelor's degree and/or equivalency
  • Public Trust Clearance
  • IA Technical/Management Designation: IAT II and CE
  • Experience in this Discipline: Six (6) years of progressive experience demonstrating the requiredproficiency.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and analytical thinking.
  • Excellent communication skills for engaging with team members and stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills.
  • Additional Preferred Qualifications
  • Familiarity with cloud networking (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform).
  • Experience with scripting and automation tools like Python or Ansible for network automation.
  • Knowledge of emerging networking technologies and trends, such as SD-WAN.
  • These qualifications equip a Network Engineer III to manage and optimize complex network environments effectively, ensuring their reliability, security, and scalability.


Pay Transparency Statement
AMERICAN SYSTEMS is committed to pay transparency for our applicants and employee-owners. The salary range for this position is USD $92,100.00/Yr. - USD $193,900.00/Yr. Actual compensation will be determined based on several factors permitted by law. AMERICAN SYSTEMS provides for the welfare of its employees and their dependents through a comprehensive benefits program by offering healthcare benefits, paid leave, retirement plans, insurance programs, and education and training assistance.
