Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Infra Ops Specialist with 8 to 12 years of experience in IBM DB2 LUW DB Admin. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing and optimizing our database infrastructure ensuring high availability and providing support for database-related issues. This role is hybrid with day shifts and no travel required.

Responsibilities
  • Manage and optimize the database infrastructure to ensure high availability and performance.
  • Provide support for database-related issues and solve problems as they arise.
  • Implement and maintain database security measures to protect sensitive data.
  • Supervise database performance and make vital adjustments to improve efficiency.
  • Collaborate with other IT teams to ensure seamless integration of database systems with other applications.
  • Develop and maintain documentation for database configurations processes and procedures.
  • Perform regular database backups and recovery operations to ensure data integrity.
  • Plan and implement database upgrades and migrations as needed.
  • Conduct performance tuning and query optimization to improve database performance.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices for database management.
  • Deliver training and support to junior database administrators as needed.
  • Stay updated with the latest developments in database technologies and recommend improvements.
  • Participate in on-call rotation to provide 24/7 support for critical database issues.
Qualifications
  • Must have extensive experience in IBM DB2 LUW DB Admin.
  • Should possess solid understanding of database security measures and standard methodologies.
  • Must have experience in database performance tuning and query optimization.
  • Should be proficient in database backup and recovery operations.
  • Must have excellent solve and problem-solving skills.
  • Should have good communication and teamwork skills.
  • Nice to have experience with other database management systems.
  • Nice to have experience in a hybrid work model environment.
  • Should be able to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Must have a proactive approach to identifying and addressing potential issues.
  • Should have a solid understanding of industry standards and best practices for database management.
  • Must be willing to participate in on-call rotation for 24/7 support.
  • Should have a dedication to continuous learning and professional development.

The annual salary for this position is between $[100,000 - 132,000] depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
