Job Description

The Community Medicine Grant Writer is responsible for collaborating with faculty and administrative leaders to expand the portfolio of funded implementation projects and research aimed at enhancing community health. This role requires a demonstrated ability to conceptualize and write compelling grant proposals, as well as strong skills in relationship development. The Community Medicine Grant Writer will identify funding opportunities through both traditional and innovative platforms and coordinating teams and stakeholders to ensure the successful execution of funded projects and achievement of deliverables. Additionally, the role involves working closely with the Office of Research Support Services to ensure adherence to institutional processes and compliance standards. While the Community Medicine Grant Writer will assist with providing information for pre- or post-award administration as needed, they will not directly manage these functions.

Essential Functions
* Interacts with co-workers, visitors, and other staff consistent with the values of Jefferson.
* Identify and pursue grant and government funding opportunities that support community health, health justice, community-based clinical services, health education, and social needs.
* Develop, write, and submit compelling grant proposals to secure funding for community-based projects and initiatives.
* Collaborate with faculty and leadership to conceptualize grant proposals, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and funding priorities.
* Develop and manage initiatives to foster community partnerships and address social needs across various community-based sites, collaborating with clinical and operational leadership.
* Provide assistance to community partners in securing funding to sustain activities that benefit patients and their neighborhoods.
* In collaboration with Office of Research Support Services, track allocation of funded research FTE for DFCM employees.
* Organize and manage a Community Advisory Group to guide and support grant-funded initiatives.
* Other duties as assigned.
