Your Role at Cabot

Cabot has an exciting opportunity for an internship working in our Inkjet Colorants team. The role would be for summer of 2025 and working in our Haverhill Inkjet Manufacturing Plant. The Haverhill Manufacturing plant is Cabot's primary facility for producing Inkjet colorants for the packaging, commercial and desktop markets. Cabot Inkjet Colorants is the market leader for aqueous pigment dispersions in the Inkjet market.

The candidate will be responsible for supporting various continuous improvement initiatives as well as capital project work on the site. They will use their technical skills to contribute to and lead these initiatives in collaboration with other functions (e.g. Engineering, Operations, Maintenance).

This is a great opportunity for a qualified college or graduate student to gain industrial experience and make a real contribution in a short period of time. Due to the technical nature of the work involved, candidates with a strong technical background in materials, chemical or mechanical engineering, or chemistry are preferred.



How You Will Make an Impact

Responsibilities for this role will include supporting continuous improvement or capital projects, including:

* Development of visual work instructions for operations
* Oversee and support equipment and process improvements
* Assess equipment for decommissioning or repurposing
* Assess operations for ergonomic improvements
* Administrative support for document and drawing control
* Technical drawing mark-ups, updates and field verification



What You Will Bring to Cabot

* Must be enrolled in undergraduate and/or graduate program
* Strong focus on safety, basic chemical safety training experience preferred
* Hands-on university-level laboratory experience
* Experience writing formal laboratory reports and presentation.
* Chemical engineering, or Chemistry, or Materials science coursework
* Quick learner, problem solver, results driven mindset.
* Self-motivated and passionately engaged in the project
* Prefer a minimum 12-week commitment
