Minimum Qualifications

Requires at least a baccalaureate degree in the field. Please contact your Human Resources office for an evaluation of education/experience in lieu of the required minimum qualifications.

Preferred Qualifications
A strong preference will be given to candidates with a master's degree in business, sport administration or related field, knowledge of Paciolan and Ticketmaster ticketing systems, experience in managing/administration or earnings operation involving sales, distribution systems and E-Commerce software.
Position Summary
Senior Director/Director of Ticket Operations is a specialized, professional position. Primarily independently oversees ticketing for Football but has authority for other sports as needed. Responsible for the guidance and administration of the ticket office as it relates to Football. This position directs the daily operations of Football ticketing including customer service, application creation and processing, order fulfillment and ticket distribution. This position will also oversee at least one full time staff member.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and/or Competencies

  • Knowledge of ticket office functions such as season ticket renewal and distribution process for all ticketed sports.
  • Excellent computer skills including extensive knowledge of Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Word, and Excel).
  • Demonstrate the ability to multi-task and work cooperatively.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Independent thinker, self-motivated, and accustomed to high volume, fast-paced, detail-oriented work environment.
  • Specialized knowledge of Paciolan ticketing system including all hosted and development-oriented programs.
  • Knowledge of managing/administration or earnings operation involving sales, distribution systems and E-Commerce software.
  • Ability to work extended hours including evenings and weekends.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations regarding all ticket related operations.

Football Ticket Management:

  • Primary lead as manager and executor of all aspects of Football ticketing including allocations and patron management in conjunction with Assistant Athletic Director of Ticket Operations, Associate Director of Ticket Operations and the development office.
  • Create season, price codes, and reports in Paciolan ticketing software for ticket office, development office, and ticket sales to use for Football season.
  • Works directly with development staff on sales campaign/timeline for season tickets, single game tickets, and group tickets.
  • Works directly with the business office on the budget for ticket sales.
  • Execute pre/postseason ticket plan and communicate effectively to ticket operations staff, development staff, and other affected internal groups.
  • Travel to out-of-town events to administer ticket responsibilities as needed. Includes regular and postseason.
  • Ensure Football ticket revenue is on pace to meet ticket revenue projections.
  • Implement back office set up for football Ballena Technologies seat selection platform.

  • Serve as direct report for Associate Director of Ticket Operations.
  • Administer fair and timely staff evaluations for the Associate Director of Ticket Operations.
  • Supervise Football-related Part-time employees on game day and be the main point of contact for ticket operations staff.
  • Employee training and development.

Financial Management/Reporting:

  • Assist Assistant Athletic Director of Ticket Operations in preparation for football ticket sales audit.
  • Maintains current and historical sales data to assist with analyzing results and related effectiveness of the ticket sales plans and initiatives implemented for football ticketed events.

  • Work with Associate Director and Assistant Director's of Ticket Operations to ensure all ticket promotions are built and executed properly according to UGA brand standards.
  • Assist Assistant Athletic Director of Ticket Operations with special ticket events (ex. Concerts, NCAA postseason events) when needed.

Compliance:

  • Execute in accordance with NCAA, SEC, and Institutional rules the distribution of Player/Guest, Recruiting and Student-Athlete admissions for all sports.
  • Support UGAAA Compliance and Business Office with educational reminders to coaches and staff on ticket policies set forth by the Athletic Association, University, Southeastern Conference, and the NCAA.
