Description

Summary:

This role is responsible for the day-to-day commercial and government contracting and subcontracting activity with full responsibility for accurate contract and subcontracts management. This position serves to produce timely, accurate, detailed government contracts and subcontracts support in compliance with FAR, DFAR and company requirements.

Responsibilities:



  • Provide support to contract negotiations, to include terms and conditions negotiating, and contract close out.
  • Ability to identify contract terms and conditions and provide recommendations and terms for risk mitigation plans prior to proposal submissions.
  • Review, coordinate and administer government contracts and subcontracts for the services and products provided by our organization to external customers. This includes managing Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDA's), Proprietary Information Agreements (PIA's), Teaming Agreements (TA's), Subcontract Agreements (SA's) Vendor Agreements and final Contracts.
  • Review and evaluate all commercial and government contracts and subcontracts as part of the proposal process. This includes review Request for Proposals (RFP's to subcontractors). It also includes making sure company is aware of any FAR/Prime flow down provisions, as well as, responding to any other contract RFP's for compliance on bids and proposals.
  • Responsible for reviewing the following: solicitations, proposals, contract terms and conditions, purchase orders, agreements, contract awards, and contracts.
  • Provide and distribute contract instructions, contract flow down and internal organization direction on contract requirements by means of working with operations, procurement, training, and finance team.
  • Responsible for post award Contract/Subcontract administration, follow up and general problem solving.
  • Manage the receipt, review, acceptance and incorporation of all contracts, amendments, and changes in accordance with company procedures.
  • Assist in the administration, management, tracking, and control of Government Furnished Property/Equipment (GFP/GFE), Contractor Acquired GFP (in support of cost reimbursable contracts), and Customer Furnished Property/Equipment (CFP/CFE).
  • Create and review aircraft purchase agreements, aircraft lease agreements and modifications to those agreements.
  • Responsible for ensuring subcontractors and vendors are in compliance with purchase orders, delivery orders and task orders.
  • Responsible for tracking, scheduling, and maintaining governmental filings including SAMs.
  • Preparing and administering of a small business-subcontracting plan, if required in the future.
  • Assist in the development, management, and oversight of a contracts database.
  • Create and review dealership agreements, distributor agreements, and vendor service agreements.


Job Requirements:



  • Must have a thorough knowledge of contract law and specific emphasis with the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and associated Department of Defense DFARS.
  • Experience in the administration of standard Government contract types such as CPFF, CPAF, FFP, T&M, and IDIQ.
  • Must demonstrate problem solving and analytical skills.
  • Must be highly organized and able to multi-task effectively.
  • Must be able to coordinate effectively across multiple departments.
  • Ability to maintain effective working relationships with all levels of management.
  • Must have professional interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor's Degree in business or related field.

Experience: 7 years detailed experience of hands-on experience in government and commercial contracts, subcontracts review and administration.

Computer Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite products (specifically Word and Excel).

Preferred Qualifications:

Education: Juris Doctorate
