Activity Assistant

Be a part of the Saint Therese - St. Mary of the Woods Community! We are looking for a Full-time Activity Assistant to work in our 5-star healthcare facility. The Activity Assistant is responsible for assisting the Activity Director in developing, planning, implementing and evaluating activity programs for residents. Ensure that the spiritual, emotional, recreational, leisure and social needs of the residents are maintained on a group and individual basis

Schedule available includes working every other weekend and every other holiday:

• 8:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. (Full-time)

Qualifications:

• Previous experience working in senior activities is preferred.
• CTRS, MMT, AT, or RAC preferred.

Special Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Must have the ability to read, write and follow oral and written directions at a level necessary to accomplish the job.
• Must have a genuine interest and caring for the elderly.
• Must be able to relate positively to residents and family and to work cooperatively with other employees.
• Must be capable of maintaining regular attendance.
• Must meet all federal, state and local health regulations and pass a post-employment-offer physical exam. This requirement includes drug screening, criminal background investigation and reference inquiries.
• Must be able to perform the essential functions of this job, with or without accommodation.
