Job Summary

Responsible for overall street operations of vehicles and drivers. Responsible to take transports from emails/phone calls. Prioritize transport by availability, staffing and request urgency. Responsible to dispatch runs to the drivers in a timely and effective manner. Check computer current and future transports for accuracy. Knows where field staff is at all times. Fields telephone calls on multi-line phone system. Communicates problems and issues to supervisors. Assumes the driver's role when necessary.

Service Excellence - Knowledge of customer service concepts and techniques, ability to meet or exceed customer needs and expectations and provide excellent service in a direct or indirect manner

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:

High School Diploma Required
Dispatch experience required.
Clean driver's abstract required

Able to operate computer and properly utilize CAD system
Able to operate computer printer
Able to operate fax machine
Able to properly scanner
Able to properly utilize filing cabinet/filing system
Able to operate company pager and paging system.
Able operate PTT phone
Able to utilize personal protective equipment (P.P.E.)
Able to utilize company issue county map books
Able to properly assign courier items to the proper route
Able to know the difference between a shuttle item and courier
Able to answer a multi-line telephone system
Able to utilize a multi-functioning phone system
Required to attend all mandatory meetings
Needs to know basic Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook.
