Development Officer, Leadership Giving

Reporting to the Director of Leadership Giving, the Development Officer will manage a portfolio of donors, focusing on qualifying, engaging, and soliciting for ongoing annual support. As a key member of a dynamic team, this role will collaborate within the Leadership and Annual Giving Team and across the broader organization, including Research, Information Services and Events. While the primary focus will be on securing unrestricted support for the Brigham Fund, the Development Officer will also have the opportunity to work on gifts supporting all areas and priorities across the hospital.
The ideal candidate will be a strong communicator-through email, virtually and in person-curious, detail-oriented, driven and a self-starter with a deep desire to excel in healthcare philanthropy.
Brigham and Women's Hospital is a large and complex organization, a qualified candidate should be able to collaborate with organizational leadership, development staff, faculty, and physicians to further a culture of care, community, and philanthropy.

Education
Bachelor's Degree

Experience

  • 3+ years of relevant fundraising experience, preferably in a non-profit.

  • 1+ years' experience working in prospect management or supporting the prospect management process.

  • Experience with medical fundraising in a hospital or an academic institute is preferred, but not required.

  • Must possess advanced knowledge/skills of Microsoft Office suite of products.

  • Fundraising Platform or CRM experience preferred, but not required.
