WHAT YOU WILL EXPERIENCE IN THIS POSITION:

  • Facilitate, train and lead knowledge transfer and Lean Assessment process across the site.
  • Lead multiple cross-functional Kaizen events each year in various departments.
  • Lead and manage site 5S program.
  • Lead RCCM's based on identified issues from observations, Kaizen events, and performance indicators to improve efficiency, safety, and quality.
  • Improve and maintain process for Gemba towers and MDI to collect relevant information and communicate up to management.
  • Lead projects for long term site process improvements and waste reduction including but not limited to: Standard Work and Work Instruction streamline, Process Documentation and Kanban Implementation.
  • Actively participate in the facility's daily Gemba process to assure alignment of operational priorities with lean activities.
  • Use your technical skills and product knowledge to support Application Engineering team members as well as Product Management, Product Development, Supply, Quality and Sales.
  • Keep up to date with the latest technologies and Lean concepts through continuing education and benchmarking.

YOU HAVE:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or Manufacturing Engineering is required.
  • Minimum 2+ years of shown experience in a manufacturing environment with emphasis on Lean Engineering or Process Improvement.
  • Experience in introducing lean principles and leading Lean Events - 5S, Kaizen (CCF, MMIF, SMED), Value Steam Mapping, TPM, RCCM, Pareto and Transformation Planning.
  • Ability to work with cross functional teams to deploy and maintain process improvements across the shop floor.
  • Proven ability to overcome resistance to change.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Persistence and determination to lead continuous improvement efforts.
  • Proven track record of leadership and ability to influence all levels of the organization.
  • Excellent problem solving skills and teamwork.

Pay Transparency

nVent's pay scale is based on the expected range of base pay for this job and the employee's work location. Employee pay within this range will be based on a combination of factors including knowledge, skills, abilities, experience, education, and performance. Where federal, state, or local minimum wage requirements exist, employee pay will comply.

Compensation Range:

$69,200.00 - $128,600.00

Depending on the position offered, employee may be eligible for other forms of compensation, such as annual incentives.
