Introduction
MWRD's Internship Program offers paid internship positions. While the main focus is on wastewater management, there are opportunities to gain knowledge and practical experience in a wide range of functions in each department. Paid Interns Paid interns are limited to 119 working days per calendar year and receive $18.00 per hour. Required Documents:

Minimum Requirements Position Title: Environmental Soil Science Intern Department: Monitoring and Research Department Location: Stickney Water Reclamation Plant 6001 Pershing Rd. Cicero, IL. 60804 Description: The Metropolitan Water Reclamation District is seeking an intern in the Monitoring and Research Department.The intern will work with District staff, primarily on biosolids and Nutrient Loss Reduction Research at theStickney Water Reclamation Plant. Theintern will be involved in field sampling and measurements at the varying research studies, including biosolids and struvite fertilizer studies, cover crops, bioreactors, and drainage water studies. The intern will learn research operations in the field and obtain skills regarding the use and maintenance of sampling equipment. Other duties will include entering data in spreadsheets and generating a report, which the intern will present to District staff after the internship. This will help the intern gain computer, data processing, and technical writing skills. Minimum Qualifications and Requirements:
