Job Description

Job Summary

Responsible for leading, supporting, and optimizing our sales operations functions to drive efficiency, effectiveness, and scalability for national, regional, or local markets. Optimize sales effectiveness in partnership with other sales partners and the Manufacturing team. Engage and inspire the team to drive profitable business results. Monitor, analyze, and report on sales results.

Major Tasks, Responsibilities and Key Accountabilities

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to capture business requirements and implement new sales and customer-related processes
  • Optimize existing sales processes, practices, pricing and margins
  • Analyze sales data, act, and measure impact to support decision-making
  • Serve as a liaison between teams like Production and upper management
  • Support the sales team using process improvement, measurement, tracking and analytics relevant to their functional areas
  • Partner with Sales and Marketing department to refine lead qualification process, analyze and report on campaign performance with reporting and dashboards
  • Enhance sales productivity by enabling the team to work smarter by simplifying processes
  • Create monthly content for executive presentations
  • Track and analyze key metrics including pipeline growth, win/loss rates, and quota attainment
  • Refine customer segmentation, assist with territory management, and create a plan to enhance renewal Customer Open orders and upsell processes
  • Maintain regular check-ins with Sales Managers and others who contribute to opportunity development to determine how sales opportunities are tracking against plan and identify any problems for internal review and problem solving
  • Maintain contract records
  • Monitor and report on sales performance metrics, including revenue, customer retention, and win/loss rates.
  • Forecast sales trends and adjust strategies as necessary to meet changing market conditions.
  • Assist with account management

Work Environment

  • Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.
  • Typically requires 10% overnight travel. Position works 3 weeks/month remotely.
  • Frequent periods are spent standing or sitting in the same location with some opportunity to move about. Occasionally there may be a requirement to stoop or lift light material or equipment (typically less than 8 pounds).

Minimum Qualifications

  • Must be a minimum of 18 years of age or older.
  • Must pass pre-employment assessment(s) if applicable.

Education and Experience

  • Typically requires BS/BA in related discipline.
  • Generally, 7+ years of experience in a related field. May require certification. Advanced degree may offset less experience in some disciplines.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Strong analytical skills in a Manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to perform advanced computing functions
  • Familiarity with databases and sales software
  • Strong communication skills
  • Three + years in a Managerial position with increasing responsibility
  • Ability to problem solve
  • Ability to work well in groups
  • Ability to multitask
