Description

SUMMARY: The Accountant is a professional responsible for processing the day-to-day financial transactions while also supporting a variety of department objectives, processes, and procedures. This position regularly interacts with department managers and company vendors to respond to and/or resolve billing issues.




  1. Accounts receivable including management of cash receipts.
  2. Responsible for accounts payable vouchers for payment.
  3. Preparation of cash disbursements, check runs, and ACH batches.
  4. Monthly reconciliation of balance sheet accounts and financial statement analysis.
  5. Maintenance of digital and paper files to include accounts payable documentation, general ledger journal vouchers, and other files.
  6. Daily monitoring and processing of the Company's automated transaction data.
  7. Preparation of monthly Sales and Use tax filings.
  8. Research and respond to customer, vendor, and internal inquiries.
  9. Reconcile vendor statements.
  10. Assist with implementing system enhancements as well as troubleshooting and supporting the company's computerized financial systems.
  11. Assist with the month-end closing process, journal entries, and accruals.
  12. Support completion of the annual budget; preparation of various data requests and analysis as required.
  13. Maintain and update finance-related reports.
  14. Works closely with purchasing, maintenance, transportation, and fiber supply managers.
  15. Support the Company's annual financial audit as required.
  16. Adhere to all safety and environmental guidelines, policies, and procedures.
  17. Special projects and assignments as business dictates.
  18. Responsible for the maintenance, creation, and control of all personally identifiable information or any other information protected by any Confidentiality or Privacy Standards or Company Policies that you have access to or knowledge of, including but not limited to any state or federal regulations including HIPPA.

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS



  1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting or equivalent.
  2. 0-5 years of accounting-related experience.
  3. Ability to work on multiple projects contemporaneously.
  4. Computer literacy with business financial systems and proficient with the use of Microsoft Office.
  5. Strong verbal and written communication skills.
