Segra is searching for a dynamic and experienced Sr. Manager Accounting to work and support our company footprint.

The Sr. Manager, Accounting position will be responsible for preparing the monthly internal financial package and annual internal financial statements under US GAAP. The Manager will be responsible for preparing and reviewing the corporate balance sheet and income statement accounts, and monitoring status and completeness of all tasks, ensure timely completion in accordance with established deadlines, and interfacing with other internal and external parties.

In addition, the Sr. Accounting Manager will participate in researching and documenting technical accounting analyses of complex transactions, documenting accounting policies, and monitoring and implementing new accounting standards. Position will support a team of Financial Analysts.

The Sr. Accounting Manager will also be responsible for accurate and timely Bank account reconciliations, Tax account reconciliations and oversee the COR (Cost of Revenue) staff along with the related reconciliations, accruals and monthly reporting requirements. The tracking and reporting of the Segra Remediation projects for operating expense and capital is required on a monthly basis.

The ideal candidate will have a strong working knowledge of U.S. GAAP, SEC reporting and disclosure requirements

Duties & Responsibilities



  • Prepare annual financial statements including notes
  • Research accounting issues for compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles
  • Assist in the audit/internal control review process, including preparation of materials for the financial statements and back-up materials
  • Provide ad hoc technical accounting guidance
  • Assist in the month end and year end closing process including establishing clear deadlines with management and business teams
  • Prepare and review monthly journal entries specifically related to COR, Operating and Corporate Expenses based on assigned balance sheet accounts
  • Responsible for the reconciliation, accounting and workpapers for assigned balance sheet accounts
  • Prepare monthly reporting package to the Segra CFO Finance team
  • Responsible for the timely generation of consolidated financial reports and statements
  • Provide ad hoc account analysis as required


Key Competencies:

Strong knowledge of GAAP, accounting procedures, ASC606 and ASC842 experience preferred

Proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite, preferably including strong excel skills over large amounts of data (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables and Charts)

Experience:

10+ years of work experience in accounting required

Big Four or regional audit experience preferred

5+ years of management experience leading a team of finance professionals

Strong analytical, problem-solving and organizational skills

Able to work on multiple tasks with accuracy and efficiency, while keeping to deadlines

Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.

Education:

Bachelor's degree in accounting, CPA preferred
