This is a Regular, Full-Time position and is located at Nellis AFB, NV. This position will report to the Designated Supervisor or Site Manager.

Job Summary:

This position, located at Nellis Air Force Base, Nevada, is responsible for operating and maintaining the various ground support, hardware, and associated software to manage and enhance operations of the Integrated Tactics Assessment System (ITAS). ITAS is a government owned mission debriefing system that provides high fidelity full three-dimensional debriefings for any air, land, or sea based player participating in all types of combat training missions. While primary duties emphasize supporting the users in preparing debriefings and analyzing the data, the position also involves supporting the software engineering team as required and directed.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:



  • Support mission debriefing and operational test and evaluation activities of the government or government contractors using system resources
  • Support the integration of additional data types and parameters to accurately represent and display aircraft, vehicles, targets, weapons, structures, ships, threats and other air/land/sea/subsurface/space entities required to support combat training operations
  • Maintain, update, and modify debriefing display formats and user-friendly human computer interfaces for all operators using the system and software
  • Prepare Data for debriefings and assist with debriefings as requested by the users
  • Identify, select, acquire, or install replacement hardware/software tools and equipment as directed by the government to ensure continued operations
  • Schedule and perform periodic, preventive, and corrective maintenance on all assigned equipment to including ancillary equipment
  • Conduct Ground Subsystem training, including ancillary and support equipment; maintain/update training documentation as required
  • Monitor and track Software Change Request (SCR) issuance, tracking, and completion
  • Assist and/or lead in administrative duties as assigned to include scheduling


Education/Experience Requirements



  • Familiarity with military aircraft/range operations dedicated to combat training missions
  • Familiarity with planning, tracking, and debriefing military aircraft training
  • Requires three (3) years of experience operating computers and computer peripherals
  • College education with specialization in computer science may be substituted for the required experience on a year-for-year basis, up to a maximum of two years
  • The following are highly desired: CompTIA A+ and Security +


Additional Requirements



  • US Citizen // Secret Clearance or ability to obtain required (TS eligibility desired)
  • Ability to speak, read, and write English
  • Must possess valid driver's license
