MISSION CONTROL OPERATOR

This position is responsible for computer operations and monitoring warehouse automated equipment to ensure that computer system, hardware and distribution equipment are functioning correctly from a multi-station command
center.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS / PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:

• Proactively monitor and manage system activity.
• Ensure that all tasks are completed on time.
• Input commands using a computer terminal and verifying that the functions are carried out correctly.
• Troubleshoot software and hardware issues.
• Report software and hardware malfunctions to the appropriate team.
• Document processes, procedures, issues, and the resolution for each issue.
• Collaborate between departments/teams and with all levels of Management.
• Ability to learn new software applications as required.
• Perform System Administration responsibilities.
• Other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:

• Have High School Diploma or GED. Associates degree in Information Systems or a certificate in the Information Technology field is strongly preferred.
• 1+ years of experience working with computer systems preferred.
• Be 18 years of age or older.
• Thorough knowledge of computer functions and strong computer operation skills.
• Work well with others.
• Ability to work efficiently with minimal supervision.
• Possess strong communication and time management skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
• Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
• Willing to work nights and/or weekends.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

• This position requires the teammate to stand for long periods of time at a computer monitor.
• The environment encompasses all areas of a Distribution Center and material movement takes place throughout the facility.
• This position requires the teammate to work inside majority of the time.
• This position may require working in hot and cold temperature extremes, exposure to dust, dirt, fumes, noise, potentially harmful chemicals, solvents and components, and working in close to proximity to other teammates.
• Closed-toe shoes must be worn at all times.
• This position requires the teammate to work in warm and cold temperature conditions that may range from 38F to 110F.
• This position requires the teammate to stand, walk, bend, stoop, push, pull, grasp and reach above the head continuously for a period of two hours or more.
• This position requires the teammate to walk up and down stairs.
