Production Team Lead

The Production Team Lead is responsible for overseeing manufacturing equipment for sustainable packaging. As a strong communicator and problem solver you will lead production associates to meet production, quality, and safety goals. You will work with the latest automated machinery and use your mechanical knowledge to perform weekly preventative maintenance tasks. Skills with digital systems technology will be applied to produce high quality and sustainable packaging within our fulfillment center.

Responsibilities

• Manage the daily production of packaging goods and oversee production associates ensuring efficiency, safety, and quality goals are met.
• Provide training and support to production associates on standard operating procedures and quality management system.
• Support the production staff by keeping systems running. Additionally, transport finished goods, stage input materials, and cover for breaks.
• Assist in inventory management by conducting regular stock checks and reconciling discrepancies.

• Support quality control efforts by assisting in the inspection of incoming and outgoing goods.

• Assure the production team is performing line cleanout and work cell cleanup before the next job.

• Responsible for preventative maintenance and adherence to set schedule of PM's.

• Use ERP & WMS system to track raw materials, finished goods, and production orders.

• Perform various administrative tasks such as data entry, filing, and maintaining records related to warehouse operations.
• Required to communicate in-person or by written/email on personal issues or concerns of production to support team and facility at the end of shift.

• Assist in the organization and maintenance of the warehouse space.

• Operate powered lift equipment as needed

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 2 years related co-packing or manufacturing experience preferred or equivalent.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, and teamwork abilities.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to changing priorities.
• Demonstrate an ability to motivate a team and provide feedback which positively influences hourly personnel without direct authority.
