Job Summary
Fishbeck is seeking a detail-oriented Paralegal/Legal Assistant to join our Risk Management Department. This role provides critical support to our Corporate Counsel and Risk Management team, helping to ensure organizational compliance, risk mitigation, and efficient departmental operations across internal and external projects.
Primary Functions


  • Prepare and review legal documentation, including contracts, agreements, memoranda and other legal correspondence.
  • Conduct legal research on laws, regulations, and compliance matters impacting the firm.
  • Coordinate with project teams and other departments to gather, analyze, and summarize documents and other information for legal review and risk assessment.
  • Prepare reports and presentations for department leaders and senior leadership.
  • Assist in creating, managing, and improving standardized policies, procedures, documents and templates.
  • Support other staff by providing training on processes and procedures, and fielding requests related to legal guidance and related information.
  • Coordinate with external counsel on various matters, including litigation and discovery requests, insurance matters, and mergers and acquisitions.
  • Assist in maintaining corporate compliance with industry regulations, corporate governance standards, and relevant legal requirements.
  • Manage and maintain legal files, records and documentation.
  • Act as project manager for legal matters, and coordinate across multiple project teams.



Minimum Physical Requirements
Mobility to work in an office setting, use standard office equipment, visual acuity to read printed materials and a computer screen, and hearing and speech to communicate in person or over the telephone. Desired Education/Licensure
Associate degree or applicable experience. Paralegal certificate a plus.
Desired Skills/Experience


  • 5+ years of corporate or law firm experience with emphasis in one or more of the following: contract management, litigation/discovery, records management, risk management, human resources, or another similar policy-driven field.
  • Strong working knowledge of writing and reviewing legal documents, contracts, and policies.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and exercise sound judgment.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and professional demeanor.
  • Highly organized and detail oriented.
