Position Overview

NOTE:This position is externally funded by a federal grant. Continued employment is contingent upon grant funding.

POSITION SUMMARY
This position is assigned 100% to the Title V grant and is responsible for routine administrative assistant procedures. Duties include but are not limited to verifying information, preparing travel documentation, filing and correspondence, and entering budget data weekly. This position is supervised by the grant director.

DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Communication with faculty, staff and the community.
  • General filing of grant documentation.
  • Coordinating the flow of documents.
  • Maintain and manage data base and spreadsheets.
  • Prepare purchasing documentation, equipment requests, and travel forms.
  • Maintain budget records and communicate with ENMU-Roswell business office.
  • Promote a customer service focused environment that is responsive to student needs.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • Associate degree or two years of administrative assistant experience.
  • Experienced in the uses of technology and software for communication, report writing, data collection and spreadsheets.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Experience working with a diverse population.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Administrative assistant experience working in Higher Education.

Working Conditions

Work is performed during normal work hours, with some evenings and weekends to meet deadlines.
Work is sedentary in nature that at times requires exerting up to 25 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or other wise move objects.
